A artista britânica, que se viu obrigada, recentemente, a cancelar uma digressão devido a problemas nas cordas vocais, encontra-se nomeada nas categorias de Artista do Ano, Melhor Artista Feminina, Melhor Artista Contemporânea Adulta e Melhor Álbum, por “21”.

Seguem-se, na corrida aos troféus, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Lil’ Wayne, Katy Perry, Rihanna e Band Perry, cada um com três indicações aos prémios.

Reunem duas nomeações Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Kanye West e Jason Aldean.

Os galardões serão entregues numa cerimónia, a decorrer a 20 de Novembro, no Nokia Theatre, em Los Angeles, na qual vão participar Katy Perry e Pitbull.

Recorde-se que os artistas vencedores dos American Music Awards são eleitos pelo público.
