Sobre o tema em questão, o “The Telegraph” comenta: “Foi um desafio para a carreira bem-sucedida de Winehouse, que juntou alguns dos elementos mais importantes da década numa música monstruosa”.

A publicação faz saber, contudo, que os temas escolhidos não foram sujeitos a uma avaliação crítica: “Não é uma lista de críticos, nem uma lista só de êxitos. É uma lista de canções que damos por nós a cantarolar, quer gostemos, quer não. São canções universais que permearam a cultura popular e serviram de banda sonora às nossas vidas”.
