Das 13 categorias para as quais a cantora foi nomeada, destacam-se Melhor Vídeo Feminino, Melhor Vídeo Pop e Melhor Vídeo de Dança.
O prémio mais provável de ser ganho pela artista é o da categoria Video do Ano, uma vez que Lady Gaga leva vantagem sobre a concorrência (Florence + The Machine, 30 Seconds To Mars, Eminem e B.o.B.), ao estar nomeada duas vezes, pelos videoclips dos temas Bad Romance e Telephone.
Eminem é outro nome que se destaca na corrida para os galardões. O artista que recentemente lançou o álbum “Recovery”, pode ganhar oito estatuetas.
Os prémios serão atribuídos numa cerimónia a decorrer no Gibson Amphiteatre, em Los Angeles (EUA), no dia 12 de Setembro.
